The Wilderness

The Wilderness is a dis-used gravel pit, just south of the minor road that goes east out of Ladybank.  It attracts large numbers of wildfowl, and when mud is exposed (which it usually is), it also attracts a good variety of waders during migration periods.  Concrete blocks have been placed across the gateway that gives access to a track between the two stretches of water, presumably to discourage parking and visitors.
